Stanford University Strength Coach Stephen DiLustro will be offering a 9-week Strength & Conditioning program to Stanford Water Polo Club summer registered athletes. The Strength & Conditioning program is a unique opportunity to train each student athlete for the physical and metabolic demands of water polo. Training is provided to each athlete by the same Strength and Conditioning Coach, and using the same facilities, as the Stanford Cardinal Men's Water Polo Team. This is an intense academy designed to provide the fundamental components necessary to maximize athletic performance and physical development. All workouts will be held in the recently opened Maples Pavillion Training Annex which makes use of some of the most state of the art training equipment.
Stanford Water Polo Club Strength & Conditioning Program is only available to currently registered Stanford Water Polo Club athletes. All participants must have their current session registration fully processed (including payment, submitted waiver, proof of insurance, and proof of current USWP membership) and must complete, and submit, payment and the Strength & Conditioning Registration Form prior to attending any Strength & Conditioning workouts. Space is limited in each group and will be filled on a first come first serve basis so athletes that are interested in signing up are encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
Group Description Pre- Summer Schedule (5/24-6/13) Summer Schedule (6/14-7/25) Cost Advanced Strength & ConditioningDesigned for athletes with previous lifting experience who will be in either the HS1A or HS1B summer practice groups Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays.
6:30-7:30 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays.
5:15-6:15 pm $340 Intermediate Strength & ConditioningDesigned for athletes with little to no lifting experience who will be in either the HS 2 or AG 1 summer practice groups Tuesdays, Thursdays. 6:30-7:30 pm Tuesdays, Thursdays. 4:15-5:15 pm $225All registration forms can be downloaded below and must be filled out and returned with payment to Coach Barnea prior to attending any Strength & Conditioning Workouts.
